New Relationship Energy (or NRE) is intoxicating, exhilarating, and sometimes hard to manage. Its counterpart Established Relationship Energy (ERE) can be warm and comfortable. Love it or hate it, every relationship carries qualities of each throughout its journey. In this workshop, we’ll talk about signs and symptoms as well as common pitfalls and how to mitigate them as we move from “butterflies” to “Netflix and literally chill”… and the stages in between. How might we utilize emotional regulation and communication skills when we or others are in the throes of one or the other? How do we keep NRE from interfering with ERE and how do we achieve balance when multiple relationships are in different stages? Time will be distributed between learning and discussing, come prepared with your questions or anecdotes to share if you wish.
