Ethical non-monogamy can be a complex landscape to navigate with many preconceived notions, terminology, and structures. Join Open Love NY Presents for our first presentation of the year, in which we delve into the “101” of ENM in a non-judgemental, informative way. We will spend the first half discussing key concepts and commonly used terms and then we will devote the second half of the session to questions and open discussion. Come with an open mind and an open heart, all are welcome regardless of their identification or experience level.

Jeri Lynn Astra Herbert is a Westchester based dancer/model/artist and community organizer/activist who is proud to be serving as Open Love NY President. She is currently attending Tulane University as a Master of Social Work and Master of Science in Disaster Resilience Leadership, and she is a High Priestess Apprentice Adept with Wiccan Family Temple as well as an instructor for its sister school, the Academy of Pagan Studies. After having founded and run Jersey City Polyamory Alt Relationship Network for a few very happy years, Jeri is now working on a national level with Nolan Lawless on Deconstructing Polyamory, which is an educational and academic outfit that challenges and dismantles entrenched notions inherent in the ever-changing changing landscape of polyamory, and explores how we might reconstruct those ideas in a way that is more inclusive, accessible, and community-oriented. She is also very excited to be working with Zach Budd on SPACE Force, which stands for Sex-Positive Activists Counselors and Educators, which aims to create an environment in which folks are various intersections are celebrated and cared for so that they can change lives for the better without their identities being further marginalized. She has presented at Poly Living Philadelphia, Rocky Mountain Poly Living, APW, Southwest Lovefest, PolyDallas Millenium, and Open Love NY Presents in NYC.
