Now that the weather is cooperating, OLNY is proud to reintroduce Games in the Park!

It will be on Sunday, May 29th, from 12PM noon to 6:00PM (Specific time subject to change. Any updates made will be updated on the invite, also posted as a comment on the invite, and tweeted from the @openloveny Twitter account), Open Love NY will once again be staking out an area of Central Park in which to meet and play games. We will provide some games (list below) as well as rules explanations. Feel free to bring any you wish to play as well. No food or drink will be provided by Open Love NY, so please bring what you need with you or you can buy from local vendors, and don’t forget your sunscreen!

As always, will be following all CDC guidelines as well as New York State and New York City regulations. As of this writing, there are no restrictions we know of for individuals meeting for an outdoor event. Masks are still required for public mass transit. We also ask individuals to please stay home if they are not feeling well, and we recommend people get vaccinated and boosted as suggested by the CDC if one does not have a medical condition that would prevent that.

As times continue to be less than ideal we remind everyone consent about things even as simple as hugs are still of absolute importance. Ask consent for physical contact of any kind even if you see others seemingly not doing so. Also please respect anyone’s request for social distancing.

The intended location is Cedar Hill in Central Park (roughly here: https://goo.gl/maps/zFW4NCVv7MKCzyoQA). The location will get more specific day-of as we set up at a specific location, though we expect to be in about the same place we were last time. Follow our Twitter handle @openloveny for any live updates about location or rain information.

The most accessible entrances are from 5th Ave and E 79th St, with the M79-SBS bus nearby (https://goo.gl/maps/EMfbGVvj2B81xM7j7) and 5th Ave and E 76th, with the M1, M2, M3, and M4 buses having stops nearby (https://goo.gl/maps/AwLC5ow1RbZ6DKsf8). Feel free to reach out to 347-829-7659 with any accessibility questions or concerns.

To help identify the event, we will be making sure to keep the giant not-Jenga tower either constructed, or currently being played, and the hosts of the event will be wearing custom name tags that say “OLNY Host” with the heart/apple graphic.

Free admission – $5 to $10 donation accepted through Venmo @Open-LoveNY (#8555)
