Open Love NY presents activist David Jay, who will lead a discussion about asexuality and polyamory, with exercises designed to develop new and non-hierarchical ways of loving that defy the traditional relationship escalator model.
David will cover the basics of the asexuality spectrum (gray-A, demi-sexuality, etc.) and introduce current thinking about success factors for poly asexual relationships. If you want to better understand an often overlooked segment of our community, this is one discussion you will not want to miss!
David Jay is the founder of Asexuality.org, and has been conducting public education work around ace spectrum identities since 2001. He has led successful campaigns to include ace education in NYC public sex education and to de-list asexuality as a mental disorder, and his work has been featured in the New York Times, on 20/20, and in the feature-length documentary (A)sexual.
